Participant Guidelines - Suu Apple Cider Vinegar Blends Glycemic Response Study - GR1Updated 23 days ago
Are you prepared for the challenge? Stick to these steps for outstanding outcomes. Let's do this!
🧑🔬️ What's the Science behind the Apple Cider Vinegar?
We're researching if Apple Cider Vinegar really helps attenuate blood sugar spike after eating carbs (like bread or pasta). There are claims on social media and some scientific evidence supporting these benefits; however, we seek to confirm these findings through our study.

💡 What are the key takeaways from this study?
This study is all about understanding how your body handles different levels of carbohydrates and sugars by monitoring your blood sugar using a Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM). We're also looking into how adding Apple Cider Vinegar to your diet might affect your blood sugar spikes.
💡 Ready for the challenge?
Dive into this detailed guide to ace the 14-day Challenge. We recognize that using the Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM) will require adjustments to your daily routine. Your commitment is crucial to ensuring accurate and personalized results. Within 4-6 weeks after the study ends, you'll receive a personalized analysis that can help you make more informed dietary choices based on your unique metabolic responses.
😋 Craving Control: Understanding the link between satiety and your body's glycemic response to food
In this experiment, we ask you to log your satiety level two hours after logging your reference meals. Foods that cause quick blood sugar spikes often lead to rapid drops, which can make you feel hungry sooner. Conversely, foods that gently raise blood sugar can help keep you feeling full longer, supporting better weight management and metabolic health.

Tools for this experiment
Haven't got the CGM? here are instructions on how to get one.
Important Test Instructions
Over the course of this 14-day trial while wearing the Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM), you’ll start by swapping your usual breakfast for a reference product on 6 specific days. This initial step is crucial for us to understand the true effect of the Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) product on your post-meal blood sugar levels.
Once you’ve completed these key days, you’ll begin incorporating the ACV product into your daily routine for the next 3 days. For the final 4 days, you’ll return to your regular routine without the ACV product. This structured approach not only allows us to see the direct impact of ACV but also offers valuable insights into how your body responds to different foods and your carbohydrate sensitivity. Participating in this experiment is a unique opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of your health and contribute to important nutritional science.

As you are in the first group of participants, you will dilute Suu in a full glass of water instead of half glass directed by the video!
On the days you are scheduled to have the reference breakfast (Day 1,2,3,4,8,9)
- 🙅 Fasting: Do not eat or drink anything other than water for at least two hours before and after the meal.
- 🕓 Timing: Aim to start the meal as soon as you wake up to maintain consistency. Avoid strenuous exercise after the meal.
- ✅ Check your baseline: Before taking the meal, make sure your glucose level is below 110. If not, wait 15 minutes and try again.
- ⌛ Finish your reference meal within 15 minutes.
- 🗓 Be consistent: Keep your normal diet 🍽 and exercise 🏃 habits unchanged throughout the study period. For example, if you consume black coffee or tea within 2 hours after an experiment, do so consistently for all experiments.

Hmm… I have a question!
Here are the questions we think you might have. If you don't see yours below, hit us up at [email protected] or SMS at +1 (866) 481-5142
Why does CGM have to be calibrated?
It takes 24 to 48 hours for the CGM device to calibrate itself to your body. During this calibration period you may see high or low glucose readings. Please ensure you start the protocols after this period to ensure the CGM provides the most accurate results.
Why should I eat 3 Blake Seed Treats?
To accurately measure the impact of ACV in the real world, we conducted a comparison between the effects of a carbohydrate-rich meal with and without ACV. We utilized three crispy treats that provide a total of 50 grams of carbohydrates as a basis for analyzing any changes in glucose levels. This high carbohydrate meal serves as a reliable reference point for our experiment.
Why should I eat my reference breakfast within 15 minutes?
It is essential to consume the reference breakfast within 15 minutes. This allows us to control for the postprandial (after eating) response in glucose. It also ensures that all participants follow the same guidelines.
Why should I wait for 5 minutes before eating my reference breakfast?
This is to further standardize the process of testing. Furthermore, it is to also allow the apple cider vinegar drink to have a head start in digestion so its active components may begin to take effect before the breakfast is introduced
Why is it important to ensure that the glucose level is below 110 before guided meals?
A normal fasting glucose level is below 110. A glucose level that is higher cannot accurately determine to what extent consuming the reference meal contributed to a change in glucose.
I want to stop taking Suu Apple Cider Vinegar Blends, what should I do?
If you do not feel well or would like to stop for any other reason, scan the QR code on the enclosed postcard. It's important for us to learn more about why you made this decision.
